Rustic, cheerful and always delicious, Honey & Rye Bakehouse is St. Louis Park’s newest neighborhood bakery (anticipated opening Fall 2013).
The bakehouse was formed by two lifelong friends, Anne Andrus and Emily Ackerman, who grew up baking by their mothers’ sides in rural Minnesota kitchens. Anne left home to study baking at the San Francisco Baking Institute, while Emily developed her creative talents at several Minneapolis-based advertising agencies. Together, their diversified skills form the bread and butter behind the bakehouse.
In the heart of an agriculture-focused state, the breads, cakes and pastries baked daily at Honey & Rye will be largely comprised of local, organic and sustainable ingredients and highlight the flavors of our changing seasons. Stop by, say hello and see what’s fresh from the oven!
